Question: Can you recommend some humorous books i can read while traveling?

Any good novel/short stories collection that’s completely entertaining. But nothing too vulgar. You are welcome to suggest any other kind of book as well. I have seen some episodes of “The Vampire Diaries” and absolutely loved it! Do you recommend reading the books as well? Are the books as good as the shows? And how is “Dracula by Bram Stoker”? Is it a good book?

The Bitch Posse is an extremely entertaining novel. Might be too vulgar for you but then again that’s your opinion.

David Sedaris does funny books, so he’s a definite plus. If you like the happy Twilight vamps, Dracula is not for you. If you like actual vampires, go with Dracula. :)

I recommend anything by David Sedaris. He writes hilarious stories about his life and his family – you may have heard him read his work on the radio. I have ‘Me Talk Pretty One Day’ and recommend it for light reading, for fun, and for reading while travelling.

A good for reading whilst travelling is this one.
Easy read with good humour.
Its not fiction but a true story set in the 1960′s in outback Australia

I’m not into horror, so I can not comment on Dracula. Sorry

You might want to try some of the authors who are in Mister Ron’s Basement some of them are funny

If you like audio books they are also available on podiobooks.com as well as JR Murdock’s Billy the Barbarian
There are good authors on Project Gutenberg like O’Henry and Mark Twain

I think Bunnicula and Bite Me (by Chris Moore) much funnier than Dracula
I like Jack Prelutsky New Kid on the Block poetry collection.

I am very fond of books by Terry Pratchett, Robert Asprin, Jim C Hines, Piers Anthony, and Doug Adams

Dracula by Bram Stoker is an excellent book…one of my favorite classics. Also is a great movie (called Bram Stokers Dracula). I havn’t ready The Vampire Diaries but I’ve head from many they are somewhat different from the show so you might want to give them shot.

Some other books I would recommend would be:
-The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins (not humorous but very interesting)
-A Prayer for Owen Meany by John Irving (funny, touching and just a good story)
-Night by Elie Wiesel (not humorous but a great memoir)
-Angels and Demons by Dan Brown (all Dan Brown books are major page turners)
-The DaVinci Code by Dan Brown
-The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown
-Angela’s Ashes by Frank McCourt (not humorous but great)
-American on Purpose by Craig Ferguson (hilarious autobiography)
-Sh*t My Dad Says by Justin Halpern (very very funny)
