Q&A: How can I make the Lincoln Assassination funny and comical?

I have to make a short video for a school project about the Lincoln assassination. The video doesn’t have to have all the facts, which is why it should be easier to make it funny. If you can help me out it would be great. Feel free to bend he guidlines of history if you’d like. (btw my teacher is a big fan of The Office on NBC…so if you’d like throw in a few Office quotes)

ok 1st i know no the office quotes.
ok to make it funny when lincoln died is a couple of things
#1make the gun shoot that little flag thing that says ‘bang’ but no actuall shot
#2instead of dieing at the theatre make him die somewhere else
#3does he have to die of a gunshot? maby you can get lincoln to kill the assassin and then die of a heart attak or the bannana peel gag.

My first thought was that this was waaaay too serious a subject and kind of sacred. Then I thought that if you rearranged history a little bit and didn’t actually think of him as Lincoln…Have Mary Todd talk everyone to death, including John Wilkes Booth. Lincoln could pull out a gun in the end and shoot himself in the head and Mary just keeps on talking.
