Q&A: Isn’t it comical that Obama has had to spend millions and millions to win this election?
He and his supporters (and probably illegal foreign money) have had to spend a fortune to win an election that should have been theirs for free. On top of that, he had free media exaltation from ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, BBC, SNL, MTV, BET, PBS, etc….
What a joke.
The point is that Obama shouldn’t of had to spend a penny. McCain was never expected to win since everyone is supposed to hate Bush.

I think it is hilarious that McCain has spent millions and millions and be so far behind.

Of course he has to spend spend spend. It’s not easy to be a black guy running for president and get away with it.
Also, the media isn’t biased. The Dems have MSNBC, you repubs have FOX, and I guess we can all sit down to CNN.
Answer by Ghost of Tom Joad
Of course he did. The person who spends the most money wins over 90% of the time. There is no such thing as a free election, even if you are running against a moron, if that moron has money he is still a dangerous opponent.

He hasn’t won yet! With ALL the lies he’s told, maybe not at all. You know people go into that voting booth and pull/push the lever for whomever they want. It’s a private matter. Sooo many people have relied on the above news media knowing they are biased to the core. NBC said “watch NBC 11/4/08 for historical election results”. Huh? Do they know something that the American ppl don’t know?
All presidential and legislative hopefuls have to spend millions to get elected because advertising is so expensive. And McCain hasn’t lost yet…he actually was very popular when W. got elected the first time, but he wasn’t towing the republican party line, so he didn’t get the nod for nomination. Now that he has totally reversed many of his stances on the issues, the republicans love him again.
No it isn’t comical. Barack is getting support from the media and donations because people believe in him and his message. It’s as simple as that more people support him and therefore he receives more press and donations.
No one would assume to win without campaigning.
