“Just When Kitty Thought It Couldn’t Get Worse……It Did”

Miss Kitty Russell stared out her window,forlorn and
lonely watching the incessant rain. She saw Miss Lulu Lottimeyer, the wife of a prominent farmer, crossing Main Street and yelled out:” Hey, Lulu. I’ll bet YOU like all this rain! By the way…..5. How does your garden grow?”

Lulu:”Fine, Miss Kitty. Fine. Three days of light rain is juuuuuust what I needed.”

Kitty, to herself:” Humph! I know juuuuust what I need, and it ain’t rain!!4. Rain, Rain Go away…..Ohhhhhh, Matt. I wonder what you’re doing right now…..BAH! I know JUST what he’s doing!! ” She reached for her handy dandy bottle of Randy Scouse Git Rot Gut and headed downstairs to the Longbranch just in time to hear Festus and Doc, squabbling.

Festus: “I didn’t say no such thing, you old scutter.1. Hickory Dickery…… Doc!! The mouse ran up the clock !!”

Doc turned to face the clock just in time to see a large mouse leap off the edge, onto Kitty’s shoulder.

Kitty screeched so loudly that three patrons, 7. Peter (Tork), Peter (Noone),(and) Pumpkin eater (Leroy LaBonski) all dropped their drinks! The screech was so high pitched that one of the neigboring dogs wandered into the Longbranch to investigate. 10. The little dog laughed to see such a sight. In his excitement he ran over to Kitty and lifted his leg.

Doc nudged the man sitting behind him at one of the card tables:” 8. Jack be nimble. Jack be quick. Please assist Kitty!” He would have helped her himself but he was too busy trying to keep the dog from mounting his leg!

Just when Kitty thought it couldn’t get worse, 2. Along came a spider and sat down beside her. After several more minutes of deafening screams, Kitty was helped to her feet.

Sam The Bartender quickly got a broom and shooed the mouse,spider and dog out the swinging doors. Unfortunately at that very moment, LuLu was on the boardwalk in front of the doors. The mouse,spider and dog took one look at her and 6. They all ran after the farmer’s wife.
