you could ask some questions and/or true or false questions as they pertain to Rome and then toss out candy to who ever answers them first.

Include the roman tradition of a vomitorium. The vomitorium was an integral part of every significant roman villa.

First, History is fascinating – Show up wearing a long OLD Roman Empire custom !!! Along with the usual PURPLE sash which was worn by Senators – How about entering your school room and saying ” I am Senator Horatio of … ( Your school ) and asking everybody to stand up and shout ” Hail Ceasar ” -

Here’s an idea: Act like you are a realitor trying to sell some of the structures of Rome to the class. (One of my friends did this for an Easter Island presentation, and it was hilarious!). You can work in what the structures look like in your speal to the ‘prospective buyer’ aka the class (maybe even bring pictures in the form of flyers).
For the ‘how Rome used to be like’ part, stage a little fake 30 second interview, with you playing both parts. Example: Talk to an imaginary person (“Sir, you used to live around here many years ago. What was this area like back then?”) Then jump over into the place the ‘imaginary person’ was standing and switch the way you talk so you’re acting like a different person and talk back to where you were standing like you were still there. You may have to practice a few times at home, but it’s hilarious if you can pull it off!
Hope that wasn’t too confusing and will help!
