Question: Why do we find answering other people’s questions so amusing?

Yahoo claims there are millions of people on here. Why do so many of us find answering other people’s questions enjoyable?

I don’t think there are millions of people on here, at least not in this section, it seems to be regulars! I don’t know why but it’s addicting! =)

Because many people, such as myself, feel compelled to share their knowledge, or lack their of, with anyone they can. Yahoo! Answers is a great, quick way to do this. It feels good when you get “best answer” because you know that the two minutes you took to answer a question was significant enough for the asker to take into heavy consideration.
