Q&A: What are some ideas for a funny commercial?

Me and some friends need to make a commercial for a project. I would like it to be funny. It doesn’t need to be about anything specific, I just need some random ideas that would make a great, funny, commercial. Thanks.

Years ago this was a skit on a comedy show, and then we did it for our drama class at school — it was very funny and everyone loved it.

It is a commercial for sleeping pills. However (supposedly), due to new regulations and honesty in commercials, the actors were required to actually take a sleeping pill — could not pretend to take it. And, they kept flubbing their lines, so they’d have to take another sleeping pill. And, everyone was getting goofy and sleepy — just use your Imagination to come up with some funny stuff.

I do remember that the last line was delivered as “I have not been able to sleep for 3 days now. I am just wide awake” but the whole time the actor said those lines, she kept falling asleep.

You will have to make an “announcement” at the beginning of the commercial that the actors are required to actually take the sleeping pills.

O.K. this is a great one! It’s called the Britifier. make some kind of hat, laser, or somthing. It is wore or activated it make people take in a weird british accent.
