Q&A: What are some laugh out loud, hilarious books that you have read?
I really laughed to I Love You Beth Cooper by Larry Doyle and Goldie Hawn’s memoir and also Blume’s books when I was younger. I’m looking for a hilarious, laugh out loud book. Read any?
I’m 36, so it doesn’t matter the subject material, genre or age group…I love them all!

Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman made me laugh out loud in public while reading it several times, and people looked at me funny. So if you read it, maybe do it at home.

A is for Angst – HILARIOUS book
This may not be the funniest series, but it is great nonetheless – Harry Potter.
Catch-22 by Joseph Heller. It’s as close to a slapstick comedy (although it is dark sometimes) that I’ve come to.
The Catcher in the Rye by J.D Salinger
This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen
Paper Towns by John Green
The Georgia Nicholson series. They are some of the most hilarious books I’ve EVER read. There are nine in the series now, will eventually be ten. The author is Louise Rennison. She’s British and hiliarious. They’re written in diary format which I think is cool too.
The first one is Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging…:)
I forget the author’s name but you could check out a Confederacy of Dunces. Alfredo Vea wrote two books one is The Silver Cloud Cafe the other is called Gods Go begging. Hilarious, magic but dark. 100 years of solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez I also highly recommend and any of the P.G. wodehouse books about Bertie Wooster and Jeeves.
Sophie Kinsella’s “Remember Me?” It’s a stand alone book. Very good. Very funny.
Starship Titanic.. Douglas Adams/Terry Jones.. I loved it.
One flew over the Coo-Coo’s nest. <}%})
I’ve read and laughed along with every book written by both Dave Barry and Lewis Grizzard.
Older favorites of mine are “We Shook the Family Tree” by Hildegarde Dolson and several books by Betty MacDonald (“The Egg and I,” “The Plague and I,” “Anybody Can Do Anything” and “Onions In The Stew”).
If you’re looking for newer fiction, the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich is very funny.
