Q&A: What is a comical term for a recreational drug user?

I am writing a article about a trip to Amsterdam and am trying to describe the two people in charge talking about safety in Amsterdam: students aged 20-21 and both recreational drug users. I can’t think of a comical term to describe these people according to the above limited description.
I’m looking for a term that denotes that the two speakers are not qualified to give the safety meeting. I’m hoping somebody here has more originality than me.

I just like the term pothead if they are cannabis smokers. I find this funny personally because I just imagine people with plant pots for heads lol
