Anything by Todd Strasser. He’s hilarious, and right for that age group.

I heard about the book Joey Pigza when my friend, (a 4th grade teacher) read it to her class, they thought it was pretty good

How about the old classics, “How to eat Fried Worms,” or ” Tales of a 4th grade nothing” and “Superfudge.” I’m not sure about the age group, but my teacher read them to us about 5-6th grade.

When I was that age we read Frindle, and a bunch of other Andrew Clements.
I vaguely remember all the boys loving “Captain Underpants” :)
