Anything by Todd Strasser. He’s hilarious, and right for that age group.

I heard about the book Joey Pigza when my friend, (a 4th grade teacher) read it to her class, they thought it was pretty good
How about the old classics, “How to eat Fried Worms,” or ” Tales of a 4th grade nothing” and “Superfudge.” I’m not sure about the age group, but my teacher read them to us about 5-6th grade.
hidden talents… it is about a group of kids at a facility for misbehaving students that turn out to have powers. very funny! its by david lubar.
my teacher read this book to my class and everyone enjoyed it! good luck!
