It’s been a few years since I’ve read Huck Finn, and a little quick research didn’t help, so I’m going to make an educated guess. Hopefully it’ll at least put you on the right track.

In theatre, an “aside” is when an actor addresses the audience directly without the other characters realizing it. Sometimes the other characters will freeze in place, the stage lights will dim, and the actor doing the aside will be in a spotlight. In comics and television, this is referred to as “breaking the wall” or “breaking the 4th wall”.

I would guess that the asides in Huck Finn are places where Huck addresses the reader directly or says/does things the other characters aren’t aware of.
