Q&A: What is it about killing that makes it fun or amusing?

Like most typical guys out there, I’ve got no problem stepping on bugs. Sometimes I’ll just demolish an anthill with my feet for no real reason except egotism, I guess. It’s kinda funny to watch how much panic, killing, and destruction is caused just by effortlessly planting my foot in some spot to crush them.

What makes this fun to watch? What is the psychology behind it?
