Question: Who are some other humorous Poets besides Shel Silverstein?

I am looking for some poets that are on the same path of Silverstein…poets the write humorous poems that children would like.

Seuss does not count!

Check out Mason Williams. A contemporary of
Silversteins, he wrote and performed on the
old Smother’s Brother’s Show. His songs
and poetry are still poignant and work on a level
that adults as well as kids can appreciate.
Take a look at this selection of poems/lyrics
at the link below. There should be some links to
mp3′s as well. A goog-search will turn up
lots of stuff on him.
