How do i become a happy motivate person?

Hi,I did the following:
Question: How do i become a happy motivate person?

I think I’ve always been a little bit down. Everything in my life is going good but for some reason I get depressed from time to time for no real reason. I am under a lot of stress but so are many people. I have a professor who is super happy all the time (seriously all the time) and I would really that quality in my life. How do I become a happy motivated person?

You have to find what makes YOU happy, just because someone else is does not mean you should be. Life is fun, the world can be a play ground for you. Go do something OUTSIDE that is spur of the moment, loosen up. Enjoy life because its there. you don’t have to be the same person every day you can do something new and brilliant everyday! I know how it feels though. You can just feel down, for no reason like nothing is exciting but you can make it exciting!!

When you are hard on yourself ask yourself this question “would I be this hard on someone else?”. For example, if you say “I hate the way I look, I am so lame etc…” would you EVER say that about your best friend? Of course not. You should be your own best friend. If you like who you are, it shows and others feel the same.

Chances are your professor is not happy “all the time” but she finds ways to channel her unhappiness. Working out, dinner with friends, going to a movie (a comedy), etc… all great ways to stay positive.

I know it sounds cheesie, but affirmations work. All day, as much as possible say what you want to be… “I am a kind person” or “I am a happy / positive person”… repeat it 10 times slowly over and over throughout the day. It’s relatively simple, but it works. Don’t say “I want to be a happy / positive person”… say “I AM a happy / positive person”.

Lastly, GET SOME FRESH AIR AND MAKE YOURSELF THINK GOOD THOUGHTS… working out helps too, chemicals / endorphins can add to a positive attitude.

Good Luck. Don’t be so hard on yourself and remember, no one thinks the bad things about you that you think about yourself. Don’t be your own worst enemy.

You need to listen to someone who can highly motivate you. I used to listen to tapes with motivational stories and advice. Call me 510-938-8007 for some advice.

    What you eat and your physical activity are important factors, but there are many other things you can do to help.

    In the morning, create a list of things you would like to accomplish. Some chores can be on the list, but be sure to add a recreational period for yourself (like playing golf, reading, etc.). Doing this helps many people stay motivated and on track. It gives you something to reach and look forward to so you dont give yourself the opportunity to forget. And at the end of the day, when you look at your list you will feel satisfaction that you have accomplished something that day. Some people do not like writing down a list, so many also think a list and can remember what they have thought. I find it beneficial to write an initial list and if I deviate from the list its still ok because Ive still accomplished something.

    At night before you go to sleep, think of all the things in your life that you have and the things that are going well and dwell in how wonderful it is to have all those things.

    Our subconsious is affected by things that are below our normal waking radar, so programming our brains while we are sleeping or awake can be beneficial. I bought a program called Mind Movies (mindmovies.com) which allows me to create videos. There are free programs online you can use too but they do not have as many transitions for the slides. Check out Video Spin, they have a free version of their program online.

    If you search in youtube for inspirational motivational mind movie you will get a lot of different videos. Some are really really nice, so you do not have to make a video of your own. Using pictures with you happy would be more beneficial but both work very nicely.

    I have converted my inspirational and motivational videos on to my ipod so every morning after I wake up, and anytime I need a pick me up through out the day. I watch them after work and before I go to bed. Some days I do not watch it as often as I would like, but in general watching the videos a little is more beneficial than not watching them at all.

    You can create your own tapes with motivational sentences and listen to it before you go to bed at night. There are also some sites with free audio already recorded for you.     Honestly that alone will be worth a lot of time. I was down for a while too and didnt understand why. I think the reason for myself had a lot to do with, 1. not getting enough physical workouts and 2. not allowing myself to grow intellectually.

    Between that and subliminally programming my mind I can honesly say I have never felt more comfortable being myself.
