Question: My computer keeps freezing and it can take up to 20 attempts to reboot. What is the problem?
My computer keeps freezing and it can take up to 20 attempts to reboot by turning it on and off. Its nota virus as I’ve checked my hard drives countless times. When it doesn’t reboot I found that (no joke) if i hit the base unit really hard it’ll start first go. At first i thought this violent solution was a fluke but it actually works. Then someone suggested that my hard drive may be sticking? Anyone haveany ideas on what the problem might be or how to solve it?

u can’t solve this problem unless u repair the hardwares from ur pc. it might have an bios problem or ur hdd it’s dieing… If u still got quaranty for it they should fix it.. if not go search some “hardware repairing shops” [could find a sinonime for that

Check your wire connector to the hard drive, unplug it then plug it back on. Also do the same to the ribbon cable going to the motherboard. If this dosent fix it, then your hard drive is going bad.

Losing data on a hard drive is the worst nightmare of any computer owner. However, some RAM/hard drive problems can be easily fixed yourself by using easily available tools. I found the info at http://fixit.in useful

If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.
