Question: Can someone explain the joke: “I’m not a paramedic but I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express.”?
I’ve seen this joke a lot but I don’t get the origin! Thanks in advance!

It stems from the Holiday Inn Express commericals:

They have someone doing something that they don’t have the training to do, or they typically wouldn’t be able to do. But because they stayed at a Holiday Inn Express, they can do anything! It’s “stay smart, stay at a Holiday Inn Express”. So saying I’m not a paramedic… is just like saying “I am not actually a paramedic, but because I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night, I can do it now”.
