I have a true story, but it’s kind of long.

I believe we lived in a haunted house when I was younger. The house we lived in was like a duplex, our landlord lived next door (he was catatonic and bed ridden) and in the master bedrooms was a walkway that you could walk across and go to the other side.
Our attic door was in our bathroom and there was a skeleton key hanging on a long nail. Every time I would go into the bathroom the key would be moved in a different position (pushed to the front of the nail, pushed back to the wall, teeth pointing to the left, or teeth pointing to the right).
My mom ALWAYS kept the door locked, we didn’t use the attic because the person that lived there prior to us, left all their stuff up there and my mom didn’t want us kids going up there. FYI neither me nor my brother could reach the key.
So anyways my mom finally took the key down off the nail, because I would constantly cry about the key moving positions. The house always made strange noises, which sounded like someone walking around upstairs (my mom would say it was the house settling).
So anyways, my mom was in the bathroom one night and the door just popped opened!

We moved shortly after that. Well the landlord passed away and his daughter went next door to get the key from my mom (because she heard someone walking up and down the stairs). She went over and knocked and no one answered (my mom wasn’t there). When she went next door, she heard someone over there again going up the stairs, so she went upstairs and looked through the bedroom window, when she did, she could see a shadow of someone on the wall.

So I don’t know if it was a ghost or someone actually lived in our attic. This is a true story! I get chills just thinking about it!
