Q&A: Is it hard to prove a computer harassment charge against somebody?

My friend has been accused with computer harassment and he knows nothing about the alleged charges and suspects that somebody used his computer while at his house and sent the messages as a joke. Will that hold up in court? If the messages were sent via facebook how can the prosecutor actually prove that it was my friend who was sending the messages?

as long as they can prove, where they were when the offense occurred, if they were at home at the time it’s a tough nut to crack. then you need witnesses that it was sum one else
