Sheesh, that man seems to want to apologize for all his Life.
I wonder why he couldn’t apologize to Imam Rauf and tell him that he’s sorry, but, there isn’t going to be a Cordoba House in New York?
Seem that he’s very selective about the things he’s sorry for, doesn’t it?
Anyway, why is he apologizing for WW2?
The Americans didn’t start it, did they?
Way I recall, they finished it, though.
So, is he apologizing for USA finishing the War where billions more could have lost their lives and didn’t he know that the Germans had their Atom Bomb getting ready back then?
Wasn’t that in the 5th Grade History Books?

Speaking as the deputy president of the Langford Flower Arranging Society, I can whole-heartily refute this unsubstantiated rumour.
You’re a joke.
News reports from Fox, I presume? Why should we give them credence?
Why do you call him “our” president? He is, of course, president of all American citizens, not of atheists in particular. He is, by all accounts, a Christian by conviction, all of his adult life.

Wow, President Atheist does not exist.
I was unaware we atheists had a president. Did I miss a meeting? Do we even having meetings?
As horrible as the Atomic bombs were, it was a necessary evil to avoid ten times the causalities that we would have had invading.
Japan attacked the United States unprovoked, so they should be apologizing to us.
I don’t want to be bigot minded, but history tells me that what happened was necessary for a quick ending of the war. And it worked.
No mainstream news site is reporting such a thing. As usual, your post is inaccurate.
In the first place, the issue isn’t apologizing for “World War II”. We didn’t start the war, after all.
In the second, some Japanese have said that they would like the delegation to apologize for dropping the bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. It is highly unlikely that such an apology will be issued. President Obama did not, after all, order that bombing. Even Fox isn’t claiming that there will be an apology.
In the third, the issue has nothing whatsoever to do with religious belief or lack thereof.
You are not a very good PR person for your own faith.
I’m not an atheist, but I could care less if he did. It doesn’t exactly bring back the 100′s of thousands killed, so its rather pointless…….
So first he was Muslim, now he’s Atheist, what’s next Rastafarianism?
Well for starters he is not my President as i am not an American.
How ever, I do not think that he should issue an apology to Japan for what happened in WW2 no more than he should apologize to Germany for what happened there.
To dropping of the bomb was just the last resort of the POTUS of the day. It was a means to an end.
You can not apologize today for what happened then and using what you know today over what they knew then.
