Q&A: What does it usually mean when a woman is Happy to get their period?

I don’t know much about the female body, I never really studied it because I’m a guy but. What does it mean if a girl says something like “I’ve never been so happy to get my period?” Because that’s what my gf said.

The only thing I can think of is this tells the woman she isn’t pregnant. But her and I aren’t sexually active so why else would she be happy?

I’m not sure. The only reason I can think is if she thought she was pregnant but got her period and was happy since that means she’s not pregnant.

When a girl’s period is late, it immediately puts us into panic mode, because it means that something is likely wrong. You may not be sexually active, but a late period automatically throws the idea of pregnancy into her head, just because it’s the most common explanation, even if she knows she’s done nothing. Or it could be that she’s planning on going swimming or something in the next few weeks, and she needs her period to come now so that it can finish by the time she goes. Either way, it’s nothing for you to worry about.

maybe shes glad she got it when she did, and not, say, a week later? maybe she has something planned that she didn’t want to have her period for? or maybe she was worried that something was wrong and she wasn’t going to get it.
