Question: what is the medical name when a baby is seen threw ultrasound with black hole in head?

My aunt was told that her baby will not be alive for more than two weeks when he is born, because of this condition. She is now 5 months pregnant… this is very sad news for our family…So NO!! Jokes pls.

if u can see a hole in a babies head threw an ultrasound id have to say the medical term for that is “WTF”

This happened to a friend of mine and they called it a sever case of Hydrocephalis.

I’m sorry your family has to go through this. My bestfriend went through this 2 years ago and she survived for only a week after birth.

This is no joke!! So please, anyone that answers, take into consideration that this woman has already felt her baby move and has already connected with it. And now has to come to realization that the baby is probably not going to be here for much longer. And even if she did decide to terminate this late in pregnancy (not for selfish reasons, but the child will have no quality of life if it did live) she would have to deliver it.

Hello i do not know what that is called but i wanted to say i am so sorry for what she is going thru and that i hope the best for you and your familys and i will keep you in our prayers and hope for a miracle as they do happen i have a 2.5 year old sitting beside me watching tv that should not be here

Sorry you are going thru this and thank god she did not abort the baby and just let her know that everything happens for a reason and it was nothing she done cause i know a friend who killed her self over her little girl not making it cause she thought it was her fault

It is possible that the baby has a condition called Acrania,, or Anencephaly. the baby develops but the bones around the head do not..

This condition is a result of several things, one thing that can lead to it is a lack of folic acid, as it is a neural tube defect.

VERY VERY sorry to hear about your sad news, someone close to me suffered the same story, best of luck to your family !, be strong for your aunt
