Q&A: What is wrong with banning Ethnic Studies?
I’m glad Arizona has passed this law. These ethnic studies classes, quite frankly, are a joke and have no place in a serious university.
In typical Mexican American classes, the instructor pushes this radical idea that Mexico had its land stolen and that it should be returned. As a consequence, many Mexican American students are indoctrinated, feeling compelled to stage a new revolution against America.
Why are liberals so pissed off at this. Ethnic Studies are stupid.; they all believe in social justice.

i can not believe you are trying to say what Az is doing is ok
now why is it that European studies have not been banned if they are banning ethnic studies?? european is an ethnicity, so it is completely justified to say that those classes should be banned also. but if you have a problem with banning those classes but not mexican american, african american, and native american studies then im going to have to call you the R word

Ethnic studies were not banned in Arizona, they were just desegregated.
Segregation was shown to be wrong in the 50′s, 60′s and 70′s, so Arizona banned segregation, not ethnic studies.

Not too long ago African Americans were fighting for THEIR rights to African American ethnic studies in Colleges. So, there are only two sides of that coin, the white version and the black version? Never mind the Indigenous peoples, the Hispanic, Middle Easterners, Asians, or anyone else here that may be 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or permanent generational peoples, huh?

90% of supposed “Ethnic Studies” classes are nothing more than a couple of semesters of “The White Man is evil,and the reason you don’t have everything you want”. They are often designed from their inception to create and promote racial division and animosity,as part of their core teachings.
