I love reading, music, learning as much as I can, & being with my grandchildren (the eldest is 20 & the youngest is 5).

My 20-year-old grandson drove 200 miles to see me in January (with his friends) and then drove 200 miles back again the same day. He said they’d started out for Southampton from Slough, & just all decided they’d rather come here to visit me in Wales.

What can I say? How do you think that made me feel?

The fact that this young man who is working AND doing Uni still asks me life questions and thinks me wise and worth coming to see, makes me feel that I still have something to offer, even though I’m old.

My 5-year-old grand-daughter is coming to see me tomorrow, and I am looking forward to her massive hug and then cooking for the family, while we all argue and discuss, and laugh….

What more could one want to make one happy, except a good book to read in a warm bed, and the prospect of waking up again tomorrow, alive?
