Q&A: What’s a repetitive “news story” you’d be happy to never see again?
Mine is the “Man (or woman) calls 911 to report some stupid thing”
I see these stories every other day. We get it. There are lots of stupid people. We don’t need to see this every time it happens.

Yup – same here in UK. Someone phoned the fire department because there was no paper in the toilet. Just makes you wanna screeeeem.
There’s a much better system in France where you have to dial a separate number for each department. Not sure what the numbers are now, but something like 11 for the fuzz, 22 for fire and 33 for the ambulance.
What we need is an additional number for people to call when they are just in doubt about something.
Say 912 – “Hello this is your auntie, what seems to be the problem?”
The trick might be to man such a phone line with mature or older women (ladies) – you know, no one ever argues with their great aunt. Not unless they want their allowance stopped.
Anything (not golf related) about Tiger Woods.
Anything about Balloon Boy and family.
Anything about the White House Party Crashers.
Anything about the Goselins
Anything about Octomom.
Stop feeding the media whores you stupid, stupid media!
