Q&A: Who agrees with me in saying baseball is one the hardest sports to play?
many people think of baseball as a joke but playing the game is not as easy as most people think especially at the mlb level. hitting a 90+ mph fastball is a tough task itself but having a pitch mix up various pitch with the fastball is another story. fielding a rocket shot grounder and staying infront of the ball, these are just somethings that many people dont realize about the what goes on in baseball that it makes me sick. baseball players are real athletes because they need to be well rounded in many different aspects. what do you think?

Baseball is a brain and muscle sport. That is a deadly combination.
Football is throwing a brown ball and running to a white line avoiding to be tackled. No brains involved their.

golf is way harder
and tennis you have to return a 110~135 mph serve

I agree. I get annoyed by people who say golf. Unlike golf, the fans ARE allowed to make noise, and the ball is moving at 90 mph in 2 different directions. I’ve heard of 80 year old women hitting holes in ones, but never heard of an old lady hitting a 90 mph fastball.

I am with you all the way. People always say football is the hardest. It is not that hard to block 300 lb when you are 300lb.

I agree with you that baseball is One of the hardest sports to play….but not The hardest…cuz some people find some sports harder than others…
Its nerve recking when a hard hit ball is coming right to you,and you can easily make an error..also the 90+ pitches with the super slow change-up and curve is also hard to hit….you wouldn’t know whether to swing early and fast for a fastball….or wait a little to hit a change or curve….some people say tennis serves are hit 120+mph which makes it harder to hit…but you have to remember baseball bats are much much more thinner and tennis rackets are pretty big….baseball also has a Huge outfield so outfielders have to be fast to cover up soooooo much ground……another sport that is hard to play is golf….you need to be very precise with good form…or the ball will end up in a completely different spot from where you wanted it…To end my statement baseball is one friggin hard sport to play…so be proud to know if you play baseball…or any other hard sports such as golf,or tennis,(etc)….Play Hard and you will succeed in everything you do whether its sports or academics…..hope this helps..=)=)=)=)=)
No sport is hard to play except when you are talking about the professional level. Ice skating isn’t that difficult, but try doing a quadruple jump. Many people can hit a golf ball, but how many win a PGA tournament. Look how few holes in one are made. Try bowling a 300 game or averaging over 200. How about competing in a Tour de France? Yes, hitting a baseball being thrown at you at 100 mph (Zumaya) with 40,000 screaming fans is not easy. Roger Federer is one of the greatest in his sport as is Tiger, Peyton, A-Rod, LeBron and countless others in their sport. These people are the exceptions. Jordan didn’t do well in baseball because it was not his sport, it was basketball. Would Reyes be a great running back in the NFL because of his speed? I doubt it.

It is not an easy game and is a long season and home field is not always an advantage. You never know how a game will go, but I find them all to be so exciting. I love baseball!
