Question: Who are the people on TV clapping hands at Wall St.’s closing bells and why are they so happy looking?

Things are really bad on Wall St. now! But each time there’s a closing bell, news show an organized group of people clapping hands and smiling. Their cheerful and euphoric faces make me wonder not only who they are, but what are they so happy about. When most stocks plunge during the crises, why can’t they just stand there with a more appropriate facial expression?

On most Occasions, pre-invited groups or Celebrities are brought in at the End of the Market Day- to gavel CLOSE the Trading Day on the Floor of the Stock Market. They usually have NO connection to the Market OR what’s going on IN it -so they just bring the gavel down without really knowing what’s going on… A few weeks ago- after a PARTICULARLY Bad Session- I observed on TV where there WASN’T anybody present to gavel the Market Closed…-And the Bell just Rang & that was IT !!! So I don’t think there’s any Real “Connection” between the Clapping People & the Closing Bell at the Stock Market… -A “fair warning” that maybe we should ALL take to mean that maybe NOBODY really “knows” what’s “going on”- at Wall Street !!! :0
