He had short blonde hair and a very dark sense of humor.

Are You Thinking Of David Spade? He was on that show for a while, but they have had many other hosts since then. Another one was Dennis Miller, but he doesn’t have short blond hair: his hair is dark! Lol. Both Spade and Miller have a dark sense of humor and are both veteran stars from Saturday Night Live.
