People in the army, navy, and marines say the air force is easy

While the mission in the army, navy, and marines may involve more physical labor and activity than the Air Force, the higher GT scores and the most technical jobs are in the Air Force.
I’d guess there may be some jealousy there.

Picture yourself guarding an air force installation overseas. Here comes anb old, dilapidated truck with an old man inside. He ia either lost, or he is a suicide bomber.
You motion him to stop andy he doesn’t. You open fire or you allow him to proceed..

Because they spend more money on amenities, luxuries, etc than the other services.
Aside from a few Spec Ops guys, they are in very little danger.
Their deployments are shorter and less often (in general).

I imagine it is because the Air Force is used mostly to destroy and deter. Army and Marines are often sent to occupy and control requiring dangerous situations and great physical and psychological challenges. The Air force on the other hand just flies in, presses a button and a building somewhere blows up.
Very few have the capabilities to attack the air force, while any one can take a pot shot at a Marine.
However it takes much more skill, training and talent to fly a jet fighter than shoot a rifle

because it is, i ate at an air force dfac and you just leave the dishes on the table and someone cleans it up for you. unheard of in the army. they do have a couple of mos’ that are hardcore but in general it is laid back.

I call it branch integrity where we make fun of all the other branches. Squids, jarheads, flyboys, and those who Aren’t Ready for Marines Yet, we all have our jokes but its really all about what you see. You see AF guys at computers with hotel-like living quarters, deploying to kyrygzstan and kuwait drinking in their little bars. and you see marines and army goin and getting blown up and navy sitting for months on end in boats and submarines. think about it, who is gonna get picked on the most? the guys who were smart enough to go and get treated better than everyone else.
I’ve heard the boot camp is pretty easy, but that’s about it.
Because the majority of their job is sitting on their asses hence the nickname the Chair Force. Aside from their Para rescue, Combat Controllers, and Pilots. The Air Force is like the civilian world where you have to be extra polite to your boss, and be extra neat.
