Q&A: Why is my computer memory increasing?
It’s gone up by about 300mb (and increasing) in about 15 minutes after reverting my computer to a week ago to get rid of The Big Joke Virus, cause I couldn’t figure out how to get rid of it. It’s gone up a total of about 7 GB in the past 2 days…
I have less storage space, right… And I did several virus scans, nothing came up. I’m not downloading or installing anything, I can be doing nothing and it will still fill up my storage.

You are confusing memory with storage space. Your storage space may have increased – this can only be because some files have been deleted, either by you, or automatically by the system. Your actual memory would only increase if you physically installed more into the computer – you would know if you had done this.

Are you sure you got rid of it You might want to scan it again. You might try a couple of different scans like malwarebytes or Asquared

It sounds like you still have the virus. If you have done several scans with different anti-viruses, then you probably have a root virus. There are only two ways to defeat a root virus:
1) Hook you hard drive up as a slave drive to another computer and have it scan and the drive and remove the virus. There may, however, be a risk to the other computer….
2) Wipe the drive and start over.
